On October 21, Ir.Dr Riady Siswoyo Jo, Director of the Artificial Intelligence College at Sunway University in Malaysia, visited our university. The visit focused on cutting-edge fields such as robotics and drones, where in-depth discussions were held regarding educational collaboration between the two institutions. This visit served as a communication bridge for future cooperation between the universities. Yuan Qian, Head of the Department of Publicity, and Gao Shuijuan, Dean of the School of Electronic Information, attended the collaboration meeting.
At the exchange meeting, the School of Electronic Information Engineering provided a detailed introduction to the development history, curriculum system, faculty configuration, and practical teaching achievements of the drone major. Director Riady attentively listened to the report and, drawing on the experience of Sunway University in the fields of artificial intelligence and automation, engaged in lively discussions with our university on topics such as joint construction of the drone major, bidirectional faculty and student exchanges, and specialized skills training. Both parties agreed that through resource sharing and complementary advantages, they could not only broaden the academic horizons of faculty and students from both institutions but also promote precise alignment between professional talent cultivation and industry development needs, jointly enhancing the quality of talent training.
Director Riady visited the road and bridge simulation training lab, the drone logistics training base of the Transportation Management School, and the drone training lab of the Electronic Information Engineering School. He highly praised the advanced nature of our training facilities, the authenticity of the training scenarios, and the professionalism of the instructional guidance.
