Recently, the 2025 China-ASEAN Vocational Education Federation Annual Conference was successfully held during the China-ASEAN Education Exchange Week. This year's conference, themed "Building an ASEAN Vocational Education Community and Setting a Model for Asian Vocational Education Cooperation," brought together over 180 representatives from member institutions of the federation, as well as education authorities, institutions, and industry enterprises from China and ASEAN countries, to discuss new pathways for vocational education collaboration.
At the conference, our university was successfully selected as part of the third batch of "China-ASEAN Vocational Education Excellence Partners" through its deep collaborations with Brunei's Laksamaran Business School, the Regional Center for Technical and Vocational Education of the ASEAN Ministers of Education Organization, and the Port of Morotai Company of the Beibu Gulf International Port Group. This recognition highlights the university's outstanding achievements in ASEAN vocational education cooperation.

Soufri Ali, Deputy Director of the Regional Center for Technical and Vocational Education of the ASEAN Ministers of Education Organization, a partner of our university, delivered a keynote report. In it, he systematically introduced the overall collaboration between China and ASEAN countries in vocational education and training, with a particular focus on the overseas training programs conducted by our university in Brunei. He acknowledged the positive impact of these programs on local skilled talent development.
Comrade Yuan Qian from our university participated in the thematic seminar on the outcomes of the "China-ASEAN Outstanding Vocational Education Partners" initiative. From four dimensions—"platform technology compatibility, standard cognitive differences, teaching philosophy and cultural barriers, as well as collaboration costs and incentive mechanisms"—she analyzed the bottlenecks in resource co-construction and faculty integration within current overseas cooperation projects. She also shared targeted solutions from Nanjing Institute of Communications Technology.
